Tofino’s First Annual ‘Boat to Tailgate Party’ was a huge success!
The first annual Boat to Tail gate event hosted by Feast Tofino and Trilogy Fish Company garnered close to 200 people including locals, charter guests and visiting travelers. Inspired by boat to table food culture so vibrent in our little coastal town, it was our opportunity to show our visitors how the locals make it happen! The Trilogy Charter fleet donated the local catch for the week and participating charter guest earned a free ticket to the event! Guest chef participation from Jason Sussman of TacoFino Tofino and Cameron Young of Spotted Bear Bistro, not only headed out on the water to catch the fresh seafood with us, but they cooked up an exquisite seafood feast for our 200 guests.
The menu included from halibut ceviche, a fresh dungeoness crab boil, fresh barbecued spot prawns and smoked salmon potato salad, this was an all you can eat seafood extravaganza. Organized by Feast event coordinator Ashley Adams and John Gilmore or Trilogy Fish Company, this event was truly a collaborative community affair. Not too mention local live music by Chris Dolfin and Joel Gray of the up and coming band, Prester John’s Gone and freshly brewed local beer from the Tofino Brewing Company, this Boat to Tail Gate will now officially become an annual event. There’s talk of expanding the event to accommodate up to 400 people so book your charter for next season and get your free event tickets!
