Cleanline Hosts Bob Kronbauer

The Vancouver Is Awesome editor-in-chief had the fishing trip of a lifetime in Tofino, B.C.

Cleanline Sportfishing’s owner and head guide was proud to host Bob Kronbauer, President and Editor-in-Chief of vancovuerisawesome.com out for a fantastic fishing experience this spring in Tofino, B.C. Fishing in Tofino during the early season of March and April can be excellent, but the variable of early season storms makes travel conditions challenging at times. So when a one day window was available to make the fishing trip happen, having the weather cooperate for this unique fishing trip was paramount in having a quality experience on the water.

When weighing the options and first considering an early season chinook salmon and halibut fishing experience Cleanline suggested a more unique fly fishing trip in the heart of Clayoquot Sound, accessed only by float plane. All accommodations were provided by the prestigious Wickaninnish Inn, on the surf exposed shoreline of Tofino’s unique coast. Partnering with Jeremy Koreski, a renowned surfing and fishing photographer from Tofino, and deluxe food provider, the acclaimed Red Can Gourmet, Bob teamed up with Cleanline Sportfishing for a fishing experience he’ll not soon forget. This is a blast. Blake is the perfect host, the boat is very well equipped and you feel safe in his hands. We spent a few hours going far up Clayquot Sound, pulled some crab traps, some prawn traps, and took in the incredible views. I highly recommend this kind of adventure. If you’re not into fishing, don’t worry because the crabbing and prawning are a blast and the scenery is breathtaking. Blake’s knowledge of the area add that much more to an already excellent time.
